During that time, she began specializing in all areas of family law, including child abuse and neglect cases. During her career, she has handled all aspects of litigation including jury trials, contested hearings, and appeals. Amy earned her certifications as a mediator, with the additional family law specialization training, as well as a collaborative lawyer, in 2019.

Her door is always open to colleagues for mentoring and she speaks on various issues, such as adoption, when needed. She has also taught paralegals through UTSA’s Paralegal Certificate Program since 1999 and enjoys sharing her knowledge and helping to shape the future of the legal field.

Amy has transitioned her career into Senior Of Counsel to Roberson Duran Law, PLLC with the goal of adding her experience to the firm and allowing her to enjoy both her advocacy of clients and her enthusiasm for mediation.
